About the Conference
Plant biology has seen tremendous progress in basic and applied research in the last few years. With the advent of advanced tools and techniques, researchers could understand the morphological, physiological, biochemical, and molecular aspects of plant growth, development, and stress responses. Functional genomics has played a significant role in understanding gene function and interactions to establish the relationship between the genomes and the desired phenotypes. In recent years, the power of functional genomics has been realized in dissecting the genes underlying complex traits, including growth, development, and response to environmental cues. Despite the progress made, challenges do persist in pursuing advanced research. In this context, the International Symposium on Plant Biology and Functional Genomics (ISPBFG 2024) will serve as a forum to bring together the researchers to discuss new concepts, tools, and techniques in plant biology and functional genomics and present their research progress and challenges to be addressed. Further, the Symposium aims to identify new directions in collaborative research at national and international levels and recognize the young scientists working in frontier areas of plant biology and functional genomics who have made significant contributions.
